We are delighted to be offering this truly delicious wine to you today for only £11.95 – 24% off the UK RRP!

A 'no-brainer' of a wine, this little beauty is made by the brother of Vivino's favourite winemaker, 'Super' Mario Ercolino.

Greco di Tufo has steadily been winning over the hearts and taste buds of wine lovers everywhere; noted for its richly coloured wines and the mineral flavours that come from the volcanic soils (tuff / tufo) on which it grows.

You’ll definitely find that on this distinctive, highly enjoyable white that delights with lovely ripe white orchard fruit flavours.

With 93 points from wine guru James Suckling - unusually high for a wine at this price -  the Ariella Greco is the perfect wine to beat the summer heat!

About the wine

This unoaked Greco di Tufo expresses with refreshing vividness the chalky, mineral soils in which the vines grow. At the same time, partial malolactic fermentation gives the wine a creamy, succulent quality. Ripe, medium bodied and generously endowed with juicy white flesh orchard fruits.

Greco di Tufo has the highest Italian classification : DOCG. The sub-area of Campania is also seen as the holy grail for the Greco grape. Greco di Tufo is known for its structured, generous wines with deliciously low drinkable low acids.

One of the most food-friendly wines out there, we think it shines brightest with some simply-grilled sea bass or bream.

About the winery

Luciano Ercolino and his two brothers (Mario and Enzo) were the brothers behind the hugely successful Feudi di San Gregorio.

All three siblings have their roots in the vineyard soils of southern Italy and so it’s no surprise that, after selling his shares in Feudi di San Gregorio in 2004, Luciano would set up his own company, focused in the wine producing area of Campania.

The company, Vinosìa, makes authentic wines from the traditional grapes of the area. The winery is new and filled with the latest winemaking technology.

About the vineyard

Vinosìa operates over 100 hectares of vineyards across Campania. The greco di tufo grapes come from sandstone soils, very rich in calcium carbonate around Montefusco.

93 points - James Suckling
The nose here shows plenty of loquat, apricots, pomelo and grass. Medium- to full-bodied with tangy acidity, explosive stone fruit and a fruity finish. Yet so linear and structured."

"I love Greco di tufo and this was a nice one, very mineral and quite potent. Additional half star for the qpr. Recommended. 4/5 Stars

"One of my favourite whites. I am yet to be disappointed. Fresh easy drinking with a bit of a bite, mineral hints balanced by a soft sweetness. A simple pleasure. 4/5 Stars

"Summery easy drinker that still has enough complexity to keep you thinking about it afterwards! 4/5 Stars

"Finally, a great and pleasant surprise. Very nice nose, bold wine, good structure. Fruit is well integrated. Paired well with pulpo and with pecorino cheese as well. Buy4/5 Stars

Thank you for trusting Vivino for your wine orders! In order to ensure that your wine is protected from the elements during transport, Vivino has developed a comprehensive program for temperature controlled shipping:

  • All shipments to Non-West Coast states (CA, OR, WA, ID, MT, WY, NV, AZ, CO, NM) will be sent via temperature controlled truck to the closest regional hub. These facilities, referred to as "gateways", are temperature controlled and located strategically throughout the country.
  • Once a shipment arrives at the gateway*, it will be transferred to UPS or Fedex for the final part of its journey

* Note that ice packs (if ordered) will be added to your package at this time.

All orders placed before 1pm EST on Wednesday will be shipped out on Friday of the same week. All orders placed after this time will be stored in a temperature controlled warehouse and shipped out the following Friday.

Delivery times, therefore, may take 8-14 days from order date, accounting for fulfillment, 4-5 days shipment to the regional hub, and 1-2 days for local delivery.

If you would like a more expeditious delivery option, please select 2-Day or Overnight Shipping.

Tracking information will not be available for your shipment until it reaches the regional hub, due to the fact that the shipment is sent via common (temperature controlled) carrier and there is no individual tracking number for the package.

You will however receive a confirmation email indicating that your shipment has left the West Coast warehouse and is en route to your closest regional hub. Your order will say "UPS Label Created", but this label will not be scanned until it reaches the regional hub.

Once the shipment reaches the regional hub, you will be able to track your package (likely 4-5 days after shipping date). At this point, the package is en route to your home/office.

  • Your wine can be protected from environmental damage for the entirety of its journey
  • This service is provided to you at no additional cost
