A unique tribute to the beautiful wines of Italy!

In No.3 Opera Vinum Italicum, strength, richness and elegance come together in a sublime wine that merges the strengths of three of Italy's greatest grapes.

Blending Corvina from Valpolicella, Primitivo from Puglia and Nero d’Avola from Siciliy, No. 3 Opera is a unique piece of wine magic!

The blend highlights the unique qualities of each grape, combining to create an intense, smooth, full-bodied wine filled with mocha, dark chocolate, herbs, raisins and figs.

But don't just take our word for it!

  • 2190 Vivino reviews at an average score of 4.2 stars
  • 98 points from Luca Maroni.
  • 95 points plus a Platinum medal for 'Best Italian Regional Red' at the Decanter Wine Awards.

In the words of one Vivino reviewer, “Italian bliss. Delicious. Find it and buy it.”

We couldn’t have said it better ourselves!

About the wine

Tinazzi have selected the best grapes from three different wine regions in Italy for this unique blend.

Corvina, known for the world famous Amarone, gives the wine elegance with floral notes, cherry fruit and refined acidity. Primitivo from Puglia gives flavours of ripe plums and exciting spice notes. The wine’s power and ripe, dark fruit are thanks to the Sicilian Nero d’Avola.

Deliciously rich with velvet tannins the wine has inviting notes of mocha, dark chocolate, herbs, raisins and figs. A sumptuous delight that has balance and freshness that keeps you coming back for more!

To make No.3 Opera, the hand-picked grapes are each vinified separately, before being carefully blended. The wine spends between 24 and 26 months in oak barrels before bottling.

Tinazzi's intention here is to make a superb wine, regardless of vintage. So just as the wine is a blend of grapes, it is also a blend of years and is considered to be a non-vintage wine.

About the winery

Tenuta Tinazzi is a family business with Gian Andrea Tinazzi working alongside his two children, Giorgio and Francesca. The company was set up by Gian Andrea and his father. The company makes distinctive wines in the Veneto and Puglia, with some being a blend of grapes from various Italian wine regions.

In 2015 Tinazzi built a new cellar in the heart of Valpolicella, home to the most modern vinification equipment and it is here that Opera No 3 is made.

About the vineyard

The Tinazzi family, keen to capture the best of Italy’s wine growing regions and grapes, have made this wine from three different grapes sourced from three very different places.

Corvina is sourced from the northern vineyards of Valpolicella, whilst Primitivo di Manduria is grown in the sun-drenched, mineral-rich soils of Puglia. Lastly is Nero d’Avola which has its home in the volcanic soils of Sicily.

Thank you for trusting Vivino for your wine orders! In order to ensure that your wine is protected from the elements during transport, Vivino has developed a comprehensive program for temperature controlled shipping:

  • All shipments to Non-West Coast states (CA, OR, WA, ID, MT, WY, NV, AZ, CO, NM) will be sent via temperature controlled truck to the closest regional hub. These facilities, referred to as "gateways", are temperature controlled and located strategically throughout the country.
  • Once a shipment arrives at the gateway*, it will be transferred to UPS or Fedex for the final part of its journey

* Note that ice packs (if ordered) will be added to your package at this time.

All orders placed before 1pm EST on Wednesday will be shipped out on Friday of the same week. All orders placed after this time will be stored in a temperature controlled warehouse and shipped out the following Friday.

Delivery times, therefore, may take 8-14 days from order date, accounting for fulfillment, 4-5 days shipment to the regional hub, and 1-2 days for local delivery.

If you would like a more expeditious delivery option, please select 2-Day or Overnight Shipping.

Tracking information will not be available for your shipment until it reaches the regional hub, due to the fact that the shipment is sent via common (temperature controlled) carrier and there is no individual tracking number for the package.

You will however receive a confirmation email indicating that your shipment has left the West Coast warehouse and is en route to your closest regional hub. Your order will say "UPS Label Created", but this label will not be scanned until it reaches the regional hub.

Once the shipment reaches the regional hub, you will be able to track your package (likely 4-5 days after shipping date). At this point, the package is en route to your home/office.
